Green and Gold Ballan Wrasse

My ‘lovely’ employer was kind enough to give me the day off on my birthday, so I did what any right minded individual should do in that situation – went fishing.

Being a rare weekday I seized the opportunity to fish a couple of accessible rock marks on the Purbecks Coast that would ordinarily be heaving with people, come the weekend.

It paid off. With a decent forecast and a flattening sea it was a dream place to be. The fish were the icing on the (birthday) cake.

Biggest on the day was 3lb 3oz taking a Molix Sligozzo hopped along the bottom.

Been a while since I enjoyed my birthday so much.
