We endeavoured to find a new wrasse mark this weekend but the results were slightly disappointing. Having said that, we did find some stunning scenery and worked out access routes, etc. In fact, I think we stumbled upon some great looking bass ground.
We tucked ourselves in on the east coast of Portland to get out the wind, however we couldn’t escape it and consequently our fishing technique was not at its best. Fishing was slow but the odd ‘tonk’ kept us fishing.
Numbers of fish weren’t high. Chris managed to increase his PB a little with a 42cm that looked good from the rock I was perched on. Didn’t really get a return on 4 hours of driving, but who knows what this mark will lead to. I’ll be back.
